Revolving credit: publication of a decree


The Decree No. 2010-1005 of 30 August 2010 clarifies the rules will now apply to advertisements for Revolving credit agreements (Or revolving credit), following the adoption of the law 1 July 2010 to reform the Consumer Credit.

These advertisements will include information on the cost of credit.

They should contain informative examples which, the nature of the credit for amounts of 500, 1,000 or 3,000 Euros.

They also should indicate the maximum repayment period under the commercial provision on which the advertisement relates.

Moreover, when the advertisement mentioned a promotional rate or special terms of use, which derogate from the normal operation of the relevant credit, the representative example will illustrate the defined normal execution of the credit agreement and not the promotional conditions.

Under this decree, the representative example will show:

- Its kind of example;

- The number of deadlines for each term of the same amount ;

- If applicable, the amount of maturity is given "out of optional insurance "

- The euro cost per month of optional insurance, based on the highest monthly contribution provided by the commercial provision on which the advertisement relates.
