Didier Morville, aka Joey Starr, was placed on Thursday morning in custody, judicial sources said.
On June 1, near a nightclub district of the Bastille, the rapper allegedly attacked with a hatchet five people in a car before fleeing. These people had complained to the police the eleventh district.
The singer, while hospitalized, had been interviewed by investigators. He had been summoned by the police officers. Call when he visited Thursday morning, where he was remanded in custody.
This is not the first time that Joey Starr having trouble with the law. On 13 February he was sentenced to three months in prison and a fine of 2,000 euros by the Paris Criminal Court, for the blows to his former girlfriend. This conviction is the thirteenth in the criminal record of the artist, and the fourth for violence.
